Homes for Sale in Hidden Lake Milpitas, CA

Hidden Lake is a sliver of Milpitas that’s best described as a picturesque neighborhood surrounding a small lake, offering unexpected tranquility within Milpitas’ suburban sprawl. Its peaceful environment belies its proximity to transport, shopping and entertainment destinations making Hidden Lake a much sought-after location. Its’ southern edge is bounded by Calaveras Boulevard running east –west providing quick access to restaurants & shops, as well as intersecting the I-680 and I-880 for easy connections to the rest of Silicon Valley.

LAYOUT & NEIGHBORHOOD

Hidden Lake is an older, well-established community. Its’ main draw for buyers is Hidden Lake’s well-designed homes surrounded by trees & greenery with relatively generous lot areas and floor plans. Here you can find single-detached homes with backyards perfect for entertaining. And depending on where the lot is located, there could be no rear neighbors offering you more privacy. Some even have 2-car garages providing convenience or extra storage space. Duets/duplexes/ semi-detached homes are also popular listings with slightly lower price points than the single-detached homes. Occasionally, original homes with good design structures (high ceilings, open floor plans, plenty of natural light) come into the market needing remodeling which buyers view as a major opportunity to imprint their own design for their residence, or as a Milpitas real estate investment for remodel and resale.

Hidden Lake has low HOAs covering maintenance of front and backyard landscaping, home exteriors, access to the community pool and walking trails. This has greatly contributed to keeping the Hidden Lake neighborhood well-maintained and attractive to potential buyers.

Parents with young families would be pleased to know that Hidden Lake is less than 2 miles near highly-rated public schools under the Milpitas Unified School District (MUSD). These institutions garnered high scores in their proficiency levels each of them earning an ‘Award Winning’ distinction from the U.S. News Best Schools ranking. These nearby schools are: Curtner Elementary School, Thomas Russell Middle School and Milpitas High School.  Within Hidden Lake proper, by the Beresford Square is Stratford School , a great private school as an additional option for families.

Hidden Lake’s namesake lake is the neighborhood’s oasis. The lake is surrounded by lush vegetation and is a family-friendly park with open green space, playgrounds, picnic areas, walking trails, sports fields and courts.  The lake & surrounding greenery attracts many birds & birdwatchers alike. Taking a leisurely stroll in this peaceful surrounding is certainly a bonus for its residents – and dogs are welcome too, so bring them for a walk!

COMMUNITY AMENITIES

At Hidden Lake’s southern edge at the corner of N. Milpitas and E. Calaveras boulevards is the Milpitas City Hall making it convenient to drop in and have your town questions answered. Maybe to follow-up on projects? or to simply stay informed about the town’s civic programs. Just behind City Hall is Safeway, making it super convenient to do a grocery run. Close to Safeway is the India Metro Hypermarket, the renowned specialty chain serving the Indian and Asian communities. In front of the city hall, across from N. Milpitas Boulevard is Beresford Square Shopping Center where you can have a host of errands done from banking, home repair, to beauty & fitness. It also has Marina Grocery, a huge Asian market where you can grab fresh produce & seafood among its many offerings.

Less than half a mile away west of City Hall is the Milpitas Public Library. Aside from its traditional role, it also hosts a variety of events for all ages: exercise & meditation, knitting & crochet lessons, movie nights, family board games, crafts, homework help and many more! It is certainly a great community resource for everyone.
