Homes for Sale in Pinewood Park Milpitas, CA

The Pines

The Pines’ calling card is its location: it is nestled between the I-680 and I-880 and its proximity to the Milpitas Transit Center & BART station makes it ideal for making easy & fast connections to the rest of the dynamic Silicon Valley.

The Pines is located in what is considered the “Midtown”, the oldest part of Milpitas where a few remaining historic residences still remain. This was also the first commercial district in the area back in the 1940’s.   And not surprisingly today, it is close to the Great Mall of the Bay Area, a popular dining, entertainment & shopping destination all under one roof. The Pines is truly a great location to be near restaurants, other businesses and transportation!

LAYOUT & NEIGHBORHOOD

Even with its proximity to major roads, the Pines retain a family-friendly atmosphere with well-maintained homes. It has a good mix of housing options that can cater to a wide range of tastes & budgets. The Pines has a homeowner association that takes care of pathways and common spaces.

In the older & more established section west of South Main St, the Pines offers single-family detached homes with expansive yards that are on the higher end of the price scale, yet remain attractive to many homebuyers. The Pines also have duets/duplexes that are priced just competitively below single-detached homes.  This area is home to the Pearl Zanker Elementary School, a California Distinguished School with a bit of history of its own.  The school is adjacent to the Pinewood Park, a large neighborhood park with playgrounds, picnic areas, basketball & tennis courts and an expansive central lawn.

Scattered around the Pines are newer developments of row houses, townhomes and condominiums – a testament to the attractiveness of The Pines’ location.  The area bounded by the Great Mall Parkway/E. Capitol Ave running north/south, McCandless Drive and Montague Expressway/Trade Zone Blvd to the east/west showcases some of the best in architecture and design of these modern developments. This area is close to the Mabel Mattos Elementary School, another California Distinguished School.  The school is adjacent to the Delano Manongs Park, a very welcoming green space in the neighborhood featuring playgrounds, community gardens, picnic areas and dog runs.

COMMUNITY AMENITIES

Needing to do a grocery run? There’s Trader Joe’s at the Great Mall Parkway less than a mile away, and Target on Morrill Ave less than 2.5 miles away. About 3 miles north is McCarthy Ranch Plaza, an open-air mall with a variety of stores from big box (including Walmart), retailers, banking, service shops to restaurants.

The Milpitas Public Library, a great community resource for families is less than 2 miles away along South Main Street.

DINING & LOCAL HOTSPOTS

The beauty of The Pines being in the center of it all is that you don’t have to venture too far for great dining! Whether you’re looking for a satisfying donburi bowl, taco, take-out South Indian food, menudo, or some hot pot shabu-shabu you won’t be disappointed. The eclectic restaurant scene simply reflects the diversity of its residents.

Debbie Indihar Giordano, a long-time resident of Milpitas, knows its neighborhoods intimately. Local knowledge cannot get more local than hers, let her guide you in your Milpitas real estate journey!
